The story started way back in 1993 when the late Jerry Govender, of old Jurgenscraft fame, started making a mould in some spare space at Bill Harrison‘s old shop.
By 2000 the very first Kosi cat 16 CC was born. A round tunnel hull for good off-shore performance, with good stern flotation.
The point of making this boat was to have an excellent handling of off-shore fishing craft, entry-level, well priced and easy to launch & tow.
All these points were achieved. 200 of these boats were then sold.

The 16 F/C followed, very successfully.
It is still is one of South Africa’s most popular small craft off–shore fishing rigs.

Reggie Chetty (ex Acecraft & Angler Boats) had, by now, joined the production team and he was responsible for the new Kosi cat 186 CC and F/C boats.
Again, a great medium class offshore rig. A round tunnel with awesome stern flotation.

Later, he most popular of all, the amazing Kosi cat 17 CC & and F/C arrived!
Wider and with far more freeboard than most other boats in the class This is still the most popular of all. Hundreds have been sold.
The interior design of the C/C is unique with comfortable front seating, loads of extra storage compartments, outstanding offshore handling.

As an addition to the 17 range, the 17 Walkaround was introduced.
With an extremely unique deck layout, including it’s large forward-located console and raised forward casting deck.
